First off, let me say I am a girly girl.  I love pink and make up and shoes (lots of shoes).  But I also love box jumps and pullups and flipping tires.  I am a mom first, and a trainer second.  I discovered this thing called CrossFit at a time in my life when I felt broken and defeated.  The sense of “community” that comes with CrossFit genuinely helped me overcome several “demons”, for lack of a better word. It has truly changed my life. I would be happy to share my story with you in person… after we have done 20 burpees together. 🙂

Alright, here is a little about me. I recently moved back to Jonesboro after living in West Plains, MO for the past 8 years. I am a single mother to a wonderful, spirited four year old son named Cooper.  I started dancing at age 5. I took tap, jazz, and ballet for 12 years and danced and cheered competitively for Jonesboro High School.  I graduated from ASU with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education.  I then went on to get my Master’s Degree in Elementary Administration.  I am very passionate about the growth and development of young children and I have been a Kindergarten Teacher for 8 years.

My first Crossfit experience was February 3rd, 2011. I know, it doesn’t seem like that long ago. It was a benchmark WOD called “Cindy”.  I was scared and intimidated, and after it was over… I was hooked.  I had to have more.   After only a year, I got my CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certification.  I knew that this was what I wanted to do.  MY goal is to help others achieve THEIR fitness goals while continuing to work and improve my own.  I love seeing the physical and mental transformation people go through after starting Crossfit.

My Training Philosophy:

I was not a high school, college, or professional athlete. I have never run a marathon. I don’t look like an American Gladiator. I say that to say this. You don’t have to be those things to be a Crossfitter.  I am a mom who does laundry, pays bills, and cooks dinner. But I can also press a bar that weighs more than I do over my head. I couldn’t always, but I can now…  and with hard work, determination, and perseverance YOU will be able to as well.
